Orderism

Demonym: Orderist

Holy text: The Book of Alignment

TheOrderism is the most popular religion by number of adherents on the face of Nyra. Everywhere where Orderists arehave successfully brokered a worldwidedeal policingto force.have their temples installed, they have continued to spread their doctrine. Their religious philosophy is the dogmatic belief that order must be held paramount to all other things. In many ways this puts the Orderists at odds with the interests of common people, because the Orderists may support a tyrannical ruler instead of a popular uprising. However, in the case that the people are in a state of chaos already and a tyrannical ruler has failed, they may support such a coup, trying to steer it toward order afterwards.

The Book of Alignment is seen as the utterly verified and literal words of One and any breaking of the laws therein lead to punishments of varying severity. Within The Book of Alignment, One prescribes the structure of governments, the moral actions of conscious beings, the nature of life, and the importance of the struggle of order against chaos.

Order is associated with peace, goodness, stability, spiritual enlightenment, and divine wisdom in rulership. Good rulers are those who seek to maintain order and who respect previously established laws and dictums. Good subjects are those who understand their place in this divine order and who do not seek to displace or defy these existing structures. Rebellion is a sin against the divine. A chaotic ruler is illegitimate. Where the populace or the rulers have defied these dictums, the Orderist temples should seize power to bring about divine balance once again.

For this reason, Orderists may support a tyrannical ruler instead of a popular uprising. However, in the case that the people are in a state of chaos already and a tyrannical ruler has failed, the Orderists may support such a coup, trying to steer it toward order afterwards.

The House of Grace

Demonym: Gracers

Holy text: The Purging Flow

These Orderists have occupied a mansion built by the Orderist temple in Farhaven, but they have also spread to many other cities in the Human region. Their establishments are presented as if they are hospice and housing for the sick and the poor. However, it is also known that those who go to the House of Grace often die unexpectedly, even those who did not go there for hospice. The House of Grace believes that those who are close to death or who contribute nothing to society are better off dead, their souls better put to use when consumed by One, to add to his power. They often convince the people of the House of Grace to kill themselves and if they refuse, they usually kill them anyway. This sect is viewed with varying levels of suspicion by the Orderists themselves, some seeing them as a rogue sect and others believing that they are helping the overall success of One and the Orderists. They are known to be highly consumed with eugenics conspiracies and believe that the lowest of society should not live.
