Outdoorsman

The outdoorsman is the master of the wild, able to fashion shelter and make various implements, but also to mine ore, pick plants, gather moss, cut down trees, catch fish, and almost any other naturally occurring thing.

Roll against your Profession (Outdoorsman) to search for a natural occurrence of some Mineral or Flora for your region in section 99. Regions, Encounters, and Ecosystems. If you succeed, roll a d6. You find a concentration of that desired deposit in the amount listed below.

Damage: 2d6+5 cleaving

Use: The trap costs 4 delay to set. If a target steps on the set trap it activates. When activated the trap deals 2d6+5 cleaving damage and applies Cripple the limb. The trap can be removed by making a normal Operate check or a difficult strength check. Only works on medium creatures or below.


►May now build a one-occupant shelter.


►Shelters prevent any creature of size category Small or below from disturbing the occupants.


►May now use the ability Gather.

Use: Roll against your Profession (Outdoorsman) to gather any crafting materials that are present in the surrounding flora. Gather a quantity of material equal to one plus the amount you exceeded the test. You may gather from a source a particular number of times depending on its size. Tiny can be harvested once. Small can be harvested twice. Medium can be harvested four times. Large can be harvested eight times. Giant can be harvested sixteen times. Titanic can be harvested thirty two times.

Use: Roll against your Profession (Outdoorsman) to mine a vein of ore. Gather a quantity of ore equal to one plus the amount you exceeded the test. Requires a Pickaxe or a weapon with the trait Pickaxe. You may gather from a source a particular number of times depending on its size. Tiny can be harvested once. Small can be harvested twice. Medium can be harvested four times. Large can be harvested eight times. Giant can be harvested sixteen times. Titanic can be harvested thirty two times.
