Engineering

The engineer is not a common profession to those of Nyra.  To most races the only engineers that are known are the builders and designers of wagons and trade vehicles, as well as the more complicated tools of different trade professions.  The Sarkin however make greater use of this than most.  They have secrets of the engineering which are unreleased to those of other races such as Black Powder bombs and muskets, and in development, things like steam engines.

Use Firearms. 

 Also, any firearm or device they learn to craft in following levels, they may also fully repair by rolling against their profession skill.


Make Ladder

with: 5 Wood.

Effect: May now scale up to 20 feet vertically on an Easy Climbing check.


Make Cart

with: 15 Wood.

Effect: When traveling a character may roll an Easy Operate check to move the cart with them. If the cart is attached to a moving body it moves with it. The Cart may carry an extra 10 slots worth of belongings or one Medium sized creature or below.

Make Canoe

with: 10 Wood.

Effect: Can be used to traverse a body of liquid with an Easy Operate check. Can only accommodate 1 person.

with: one Ingot.

Use: +4 Navigation


Craft Smoke Bomb 

Damage: N/A

Delay: 1(2)

Area of Effect: 40 foot circle

Effect: Spreads a shroud of smoke in the area that lasts five turns. Anything in the area now has a -1 penalty when making any check that requires sight. All characters in the smoke now have +2 to stealth and +3 to flee. Stealth checks can be made in combat without fleeing.

Make Wagon

with: 30 Wood.

Effect: The creatures that are pulling this vehicle must have at least 8 combined Strength. If the cart is attached to a moving body it moves with it. The Cart may carry an extra 20 slots worth of belongings or 4 Medium sized creature or 1 Large sized creature.


Make Rowboat

with: 25 Wood.

Effect: Can be used to traverse a body of liquid with an Easy Operate check. Can only accommodate 4 Medium or 1 Large sized creatures.


Make Siege Ladder

with: 10 Wood.

Effect: May now scale up to 50 feet vertically on an Easy Climbing check.

Craft Ballista

Effect: The creatures that are pulling this vehicle must have at least 7 combined Strength. If the Ballista is attached to a moving body it moves with it.


Make Longboat

with: 40 Wood.

Effect: Can be used to traverse a body of liquid with an Easy Operate check. Can only accommodate twelve Medium or six Large sized creatures.

Make Carriage

with: 45 Wood.

Effect:The creatures that are pulling this vehicle must have at least 12 combined Strength. If the cart is attached to a moving body it moves with it. The Cart may carry an extra 10 slots worth of belongings and 6 Medium sized creatures or 3 Large sized creatures.


Craft Portable Furnace

Effect:  This furnace can be carried on any person with the assistance of a shoulder strap.  When it is set up and coal is shoveled in, it may serve as a stove, forge, or campfire.  




Rank 10:


Make Galleon

with: 120 Wood and 40 cloth.

Effect: Can be used to traverse a body of liquid with an Easy Operate check. Can only accommodate 36 Medium, 12 Large, and 3 Giant sized creatures.


Make Black Powder

with: Saltpeter, Sulfur, and Coal

Effect: Must load a portion of Black Powder for every fired shot from a gun. May also be used as an explosive, Fuse, or fuel.


Disassemble

Effect:  When the character chooses to disassemble an item, they disassemble the item completely and repair all of its components to full quality.  However, the item must be reassembled to be used again.

 

Make a Freight Wagon

Effect: The creatures that are pulling this vehicle must have at least 16 combined Strength. If the cart is attached to a moving body it moves with it. The Cart may carry an extra 75 slots worth of belongings and 20 Medium sized creatures and 10 Large sized creatures and 2 Giant creatures.

Area of Effect: 10 feet

Effect: All enemies within the area of effect are deafened and lose two delay for one turn.

Effect: Battery, when rubbed with steel wool or another conductive material, will emit an electrical charge.  This battery may also provide short bursts of power if the engineer can retrofit the device to use batteries as a form of energy supply (Profession (Engineering).

Effect: Can be used to traverse a body of liquid with an Easy Operate check. Can only accommodate 200 Medium, 120 Large, 20 Giant, and 2 Titanic sized creatures.

Effect: Apply the trait Sting to Bullet and Shot.

Effect: Apply the trait Charged to equippable firearms made by Profession (Engineer).

Effect: The steam engine can serve as power for any facility which needed it previously.  For example, a horse no longer needs to lead a carriage.  Roll Profession (Engineering) to retrofit the Steam Engine to the desired object.  Must be fueled by coal, at a rate of 5 Coal for 24 hours.
