Blacksmithing

Blacksmithing is the governing skill of Armor and Weapon smithing, is the general knowledge of the techniques, ideas, and tricks used to smith various items of all kinds, as well as repair them.

Rank 2: 

Repair (Blacksmith)

Ability

Can now roll to repair items that are created by Profession (Blacksmith). The Blacksmith repairs the durability of the item by the amount they exceeded their check and adds their Wisdom modifier.

Rank 4:

Repair II (Blacksmith)

Ability

Can now roll to repair items that are created by Profession (Blacksmith). The Blacksmith repairs the durability of the item by the amount they exceeded their check and adds their Wisdom modifier and an additional +5 bonus.

Rank 6: 


Smith

Ability

Can now create weapons and armor from raw materials. When the character creates the item, they must spend materials to make it. You can only craft using materials that you have gained the ability Smelt. Focus point requirements are listed beside the entries under their profession as they progress. The blacksmith gets to choose the traits and the flaws applied to the weapon, but may only use traits that could be applied using the most recent iteration of Apply Trait.

When the item is successfully created, the further under skill the blacksmith rolls, the better the item will be, as per the following rubric:

On skill: Flaw Flaw

1 under: Flaw

2 under: Flaw Trait

3 under: Trait

4 under: Trait Trait

5 under: Trait Trait, +1 for weapons, -1 for armor

6 under: Trait Trait, +2 for weapons, -2 for armor

8 under: Trait Trait, +4 for weapons, -4 for armor

9 under: Trait Trait, +5 for weapons, -5 for armor

Smelt

Ability

Can smelt an ingot from ore.

To craft: Two ore and 30 minutes per ingot produced.

Materials: Bronze, Gold

2-Delay Weapon

Recipe

The Blacksmith may craft any 2-delay weapon seen in the Weapons section of the guide.

To craft: 2 Ingots. 1 day.

Butted Chainmail

Recipe

May now craft Butted Chainmail. See Armor section of the guide.

To craft: 3 days per piece. 2 days.

Head: 3 Ingot

Chest: 5 Ingot

Arm: 3 Ingot

Leg: 3 Ingot

Buckler Shield

Recipe

May now craft Buckler Shield. See Shields section of the guide.

To craft: 3 Ingots. 1 day.

Rank 8: 

Apply Trait

Ability

If a weapon or armor has an empty trait slot, the Blacksmith may apply a trait to it.

To craft: 1 day

Weapon Traits: Poison Groove

Armor Traits: Antivenin, Monkey Grip, Iron Dome, Fitted Gloves, Riding Spurs, Goggled

Hone

Ability

May affix a +1 damage to any melee weapon.  This cannot be placed on top of another flat damage modifier, it replaces it.

To craft: 3 hours


Reinforce

Ability

Can improve armor to have -1 of any (P, C, B, S) damage resistance.  The smith may give one of each of the four damage categories; but cannot stack any two buffs on the same category.

To craft: 3 hours

Smelt II

Ability

Can smelt an ingot from ore.

To craft: Two ore and 30 minutes per ingot produced.

Materials: Bronze, Gold, Iron

3-Delay Weapon

Recipe

The Blacksmith may craft any 3-delay weapon seen in the Weapons section of the guide.

To craft: 3 Ingots. 2 days.


Riveted Chainmail

Recipe

May now craft Riveted Chainmail. See Armor section of the guide.

To craft: 3 days per piece.

Head: 3 Ingot

Chest: 5 Ingot

Arm: 3 Ingot

Ringmail

Heater Shield

Rank 10: 


Hone II

Ability

May affix a +2 damage to any melee weapon.  This cannot be placed on top of another flat damage modifier, it replaces it.

To craft: 3 hours

Rank 2:

Smith

Ability

Can smelt an ingot from ore.

5-Delay Weapon

Kettle Helm

Remove Flaw 

Ability

If a weapon or armor has one or more flaws, the Blacksmith may remove one of them per item.

To craft: 1 day

Smelt V

Ability

Can smelt an ingot from ore.

To craft: Two ore and 30 minutes per ingot produced.

Materials: Bronze, Gold, Iron, Steel, Damascus, Tuda, Sarkite, Oscite

Full Helm
