If an enemy is unaware of the Hunter and are in long range, the player may do an aimed strike on that target at Normal check.
Nature Step
Enemies do not get to make checks to detect the player if they are in the wilderness.
Quickshooting
The hunter may specify that they wish to deduct delay on any given ranged attack. For every delay that they deduct, remove one damage dice of the type that defines the weapon’s damage. If the delay removed would reduce the rolled dice to 0, they may not reduce it to this point.
Hunters are the various rangers, leaders, guides, and scouts of the world of Nyra. They are at home with the bowstring in their fingers and an enormous natural landscape before them. They lend themselves well to pursuits of scavenging and live off the land with exceeding ability. They are the finest archers in any army and sell the finest hides in every bazaar.
The Hunter’s primary function to the group is ranged damage. They can produce this damage either in many small attacks or in relatively few large ones and they can hit enemies both at very long distances, but also somewhat close-range with differing efficiency. Each of these approaches can devastate enemies, both Humanoids and monsters. They are often of great value in their utility and survivalism. Hunters usually take professions and skill specialties which make them excellent at tracking, stealth, and processing of natural materials.
