Brawlers are the skilled fist-fighters, show-fighters, cloistered martial-artists, and monks of the world of Nyra. They range an enormous amount of different lifestyles, jobs, and outlooks...but have one thing in common; overwhelming reflexes, and the gravitation towards avenues of fist-fighting. The brawler is a master of humanoid combat.
The Brawler’s main purpose to the group is as a control character against Humanoid enemies. Because of the extra skills they are given which allow them to trip, disarm, throw, and disable their opponents, they are good for subduing would-be attackers just as well as they are to dispatch any threat to the group. The Brawler can also safely close distance with Humanoid enemies, even if they are armed, because they may use their extra skills to sweep and disarm these attackers, opening up to follow-ups from the group.
