Dragons

Dragons are mountainous reptilian beings which live upon Nyra, known to none but the Ponderan. Though long ago, there were many dragons, now there are only six: one for each element. They anchor their elemental philosophies in the world, despite the churning combat of the daemons and the gods. This means that the dragons are not bound to merely reproduce the concepts of the gods or of ascended beings such as the daemons. They represent their own philosophic interpretations; those which prevailed in dragon society before the elemental consolidations. These draconic interpretations color the proliferation of the elements in Nyra, shifting the procession of events in ways which are not understood by most beings on the planet, including many of the daemons themselves.

The "archons" listed are daemons that have the same aspect as the dragon in question or one which is nearly identical, and this fact empowers the daemon. It is assumed that, if the dragons died, they would either consume their archon's soul or the archon would consume the dragon's soul.

It is assumed that the players know nothing about the dragons, even if they are very knowledgeable. Even most Ponderans have no idea what has become of the dragons.
